OGOS Energy LLC is a Maryland-based renewable energy development company whose members bring to the table high-levels of engineering, financial, legal, marketing, and operations expertise, as well as proven management skills. OGOS Energy’s mission is to accelerate the development of reliable and cost-effective renewable energy generation assets serving Maryland, the larger mid-Atlantic region and beyond; in order to meet demand, contribute to the sustainability of our natural environment, create beneficial regional economic activity, and reward our investors.

We embrace and epitomize the integral involvement of Minority Business Enterprises and minority group investors in the creation of a robust, Maryland-centric, renewable energy supply chain, including both offshore wind and solar project development. OGOS Energy LLC was co-founded by a group led by our Chairman, Lt. General Joe N. Ballard, U.S. Army (Retired), and our CEO, Michael G. Miller, a finance and development professional who has more than a decade of regulated utility industry experience.

OGOS Energy LLC has established a strategic alliance with SCS Energy LLC , a private power plant development company headquartered in Concord, Massachusetts whose principals have developed over 2,000 MW of generation assets during the past decade. Together, OGOS Energy LLC and SCS Energy LLC formed SCS Maryland Energy LLC, an entity that qualified for, and participated in, the August 2014 competitive auction of offshore leasehold rights in the Maryland Wind Energy Area (WEA) as defined by the U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).
